東京都写真美術館が所蔵する19世紀の映像装置を解説する映像を制作しました。ソーマトロープ、フェナキストスコープ、ゾートロープ、プラクシノスコープ、プラクシノスコープテアトルの５つの映像装置を通して、黎明期の映像装置の歴史と原理、動かし方をCGと実物の撮影で紹介しています。
I produced an instructional video explaining 19th-century optical devices from the collection of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. Covering five historical devices—the Thaumatrope, Phenakistoscope, Zoetrope, Praxinoscope, and Praxinoscope Theatre—the video introduces the history, operating principles, and mechanics of early moving image technology through a blend of CG animations and footage of the actual devices.
