夜空を舞台に、12星座のキャラクターが登場する映像インスタレーションです。白い本を手に持ち、天井から床へ投影されるイメージを「読む」ように体験します。本はスクリーンの代わりとなる小さな窓のようなもので、投影された世界の全体を一度に見ることはできません。鑑賞者はキャラクターや場面を探しながら空間を彷徨い歩きます。夜空に浮かぶ星座のように、空間に点在する場面を繋ぎ合わせていくことで、次第に物語の全容が見えてきます。
ピクセルアーティスト Zennyan 氏との共同制作であり、後の《星つぶ屋》へと繋がっていきます。企画展「魔法の美術館」のために制作され、上田市立美術館をはじめ、大阪文化館・天保山、福井市美術館など全国各地の美術館にて巡回展示されています。
A video installation set against the night sky, featuring characters based on the twelve signs of the zodiac. Holding a white book, viewers experience the work by "reading" images projected downward from the ceiling to the floor. The book serves as a small window in place of a screen, through which the projected world can never be seen all at once. Viewers wander through the space, searching for characters and scenes. Just as stars scattered across the night sky form constellations, piecing together the scenes scattered through the space gradually brings the whole of the story into view.
Created in collaboration with pixel artist Zennyan, it directly led to the subsequent work Star Stall. Originally produced for the touring exhibition "Magical Art Museum," the work has been showcased in museums across Japan, including the Ueda City Art Museum, Osaka Culturarium at Tempozan, and the Fukui City Art Museum.
