移動式の屋台にプロジェクターを内蔵した、小さなアニメーション劇場です。プロジェクターは屋台の中央に上向きで設置され、天井に取り付けられた反射板によって、周囲の空間や人々に映像を投射します。屋台に置かれた白い本を開き、手元でアニメーションを「読む」ように鑑賞するため、上映は夜間のみに限定されます。投影される映像は夜空を舞台に、擬人化された月や星、海月や光る魚たちが登場する情景的なピクセルアニメーションです。特殊な視聴環境を立ち上げることで、アニメーションの世界と現実の夜の風景が重なり合い、その体験全体がひとつの記憶として残るような空間を目指しました。空間と映像を重ね合わせる試みは《クルックスの灯り》へと繋がっています。ピクセルアーティスト Zennyan 氏との共同制作。令和元年度文化庁メディア芸術クリエイター支援事業の採択企画として制作・発表しました。
This is a compact animation theater built into a mobile street cart with an embedded projector. The projector is installed facing upward at the center of the cart, casting imagery onto the surrounding space and spectators via a reflective mirror mounted on the ceiling. Viewers experience the work by opening a blank white book placed on the cart and "reading" the animation in their hands—a format that inherently limits screenings to nighttime. The projected visuals feature a poetic pixel animation set against the night sky, inhabited by personified moons, stars, jellyfish, and glowing fish. By constructing this unique viewing environment, the project aims to create a spatial experience where the animated world overlaps with the real night landscape, leaving the entire experience as a lasting memory. This effort to overlay physical space and projected imagery directly connects to the later creation of Crookes Lantern. Created in collaboration with pixel artist Zennyan. Produced and presented as a selected project for the FY2019 Agency for Cultural Affairs Project to Support Emerging Creators in Media Arts.
