移動式の屋台にプロジェクターを内蔵した、小さなアニメーション劇場です。屋台の中央から上向きに照射された映像は、天井の反射板を介して周囲の空間や鑑賞者へと投射されます。無人の屋台に記された案内に従い、手に取った「白い本」をスクリーンのように掲げることで、鑑賞者は本の中で展開するアニメーションの世界を散策します。上映を夜間に限定し、現実の「夜」という時間を借景することで、アニメーションの世界と現実の風景が重なり合い、体験全体がひとつの記憶として刻まれる空間を目指しました。このように実空間と映像世界を重ね合わせる試みは、のちの《クルックスの灯り》へと繋がっています。ピクセルアーティスト Zennyan 氏との共同制作。令和元年度文化庁メディア芸術クリエイター支援事業の採択企画として制作・発表しました。
A mobile cart housing a built-in projector functions as a compact animation theater. Projected upward from the center of the cart, images are reflected off a ceiling mirror and cast onto the surrounding space and viewers. Guided by instructions left on the unmanned cart, visitors pick up a blank white book and hold it out like a screen, exploring the animated world within its pages. By restricting screenings to nighttime and borrowing the temporal context of the dark, the illusion of animation overlaps with the real-world environment, creating a space where the total experience becomes etched into memory. This exploration of layering physical space and projected imagery directly connects to the later work Crookes Lantern. Created in collaboration with pixel artist Zennyan and produced/presented as a selected project for the FY2019 Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Creator Support Program.
