1870年にイギリスの物理学者ウィリアム・クルックスが考案したラジオメーターを用いた映像インスタレーションです。光エネルギーを運動エネルギーに変換する実験器具であるラジオメーターですが、ここではプロジェクターが放つ光の熱によって羽を回転させています。同時に投影されるピクセルアニメーションは、その動きや影と重なるように変化していきます。鑑賞者が「現象」と「イメージ」の歯車を追いかけるように空間を巡るとき、プロジェクターの光は鑑賞者自身の影さえも映像の世界へと投げ込んでいきます。鑑賞者の存在する実空間とスクリーンの向こう側にある映像空間を、ひとつの世界として鑑賞するインスタレーションとして制作しました。個展「しかくいけしき」（文化フォーラム春日井）にて初公開しました。
This is a video installation utilizing a radiometer, a device invented in 1870 by British physicist William Crookes. While the radiometer is traditionally an experimental instrument that converts light energy into kinetic energy, here its vanes are rotated by the heat of the light cast from the projector. Simultaneously, the projected pixel animation transforms as if overlapping with its physical movement and shadows. As viewers navigate the space, chasing the intersecting gears of "phenomenon" and "image," the projector's light casts even their own shadows into the world of the artwork. This installation was created to allow viewers to experience the physical space they inhabit and the image space beyond the screen as a single unified world. It was first showcased in the solo exhibition "Shikakui Keshiki" (a VIEW in the SQUARE) at Kasugai City Cultural Forum Gallery.
