Otherwise Gallery（南青山/東京）にて個展「連続と非連続の汀で」を開催しました。これまで取り組んできた「空間と映像」というテーマを、「物質/アナログと情報/デジタル」、さらに「連続と非連続」という抽象度の高い視座へと拡張し、作品が持つ射程を広く捉え直した展覧会です。本展では、石にピクセルを彫り込んだ《電気海岸の唄》シリーズをはじめ、洞窟絵画と初期コンピュータの文字グラフィックを重ね合わせ石板に刻んだ《Hello World》、プロジェクターや自然石、レコードを用いた新作インスタレーションなど、「石」を用いた作品群を大きく展開しました。
Solo Exhibition "Continuous and Discontinuous of Migiwa" at Otherwise Gallery (Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo). This exhibition re-examines the reach of my artistic practice by expanding my long-standing theme of "space and image" into broader, more abstract perspectives: "material/analog vs. information/digital" and "continuity vs. discontinuity." The show centered around a broad selection of stone-based works, including the Echoes of the Electric Coast series with pixels carved directly into stone, Hello World, which overlays cave paintings with early computer text graphics etched onto stone tablets, alongside a new installation using projectors, natural stone, and vinyl records.
世界はどこまでも連続するものとして感じられる.
連続は果てしない中間を内包し、無限の豊かさを湛えている.
一方で情報は、非連続な断片として現れる.
断片は扱いやすく、さまざまな操作や交換が可能であり
しばしば予期せぬ接続や偶発を呼び込む.
物質と情報、像と記号、時間と演算、痕跡と記録 ——
わたしの関心は連続と非連続が交差し、混じり合う地点にある.
連続の大地へ架ける、非連続という橋.
その往復運動として、わたしたちは存在している.

The world is felt as something continuously unfolding.
Continuity encompasses infinite in-betweens, brimming with boundless richness.
Information, on the other hand, appears as discontinuous fragments.
Fragments are tractable, open to various operations and exchanges,
often inviting unexpected connections and contingencies.
Matter and information, image and symbol, time and computation, trace and record —
My interest lies at the intersection where continuity and discontinuity meet and merge.
Discontinuity as a bridge spanning across the continuous land.
It is within this back-and-forth movement that we exist.
