海岸で拾い集めた石に、ピクセルアートを刻んだ作品群です。石の形や色、模様を手がかりにAIでテキストを生成し、そこに立ち現れた物語の場面を石に彫刻しています。波や風、摩擦や圧力によって長い時間をかけて形づくられた石と、確率的な揺らぎから一度きりの組み合わせとして生まれるAIの言葉。物質世界と仮想世界におけるふたつの偶然を、人間の手でひとつの石の上に結び直しています。本作は、私たちがかつて神話や民話を通して自然と向き合い、意味を紡いできた営みの現代的な模型であり、その再演の記録でもあります。
This series of works features pixel art carved onto stones collected from the seashore. Guided by the unique shapes, colors, and patterns of each stone, AI generates text, from which scenes of the emerging narratives are engraved onto their surfaces. Stones shaped over vast stretches of time by waves, wind, friction, and pressure; AI words born as one-off combinations from probabilistic fluctuations. Through human hands, these two coincidences—from the physical and virtual worlds—are rebound upon a single stone. This work serves as a contemporary model of the ancient human practice of facing nature and weaving meaning through myths and folklore, as well as a record of its re-enactment.
