明治から大正にかけて活躍した日本画家・小川芋銭の山水画をモチーフにしたピクセルアニメーションです。山水画や俳句、枯山水といった情報を削ぎ落とし余白によって情景を想起させる日本の伝統的手法と、引き算の表現であるピクセルアートに通底する美学に着目し、時代を超越した東洋的視座や造形思想の連続性を提示しました。浮世絵や新版画の色彩を参照した《A Shore A.M./P.M.》、吉田初三郎の鳥瞰図法を取り入れた《龍田古道 亀の瀬 絵巻》など、過去の視覚文化や空間表現を現代のピクセル表現へと再接続する継続的な試みへと繋がっています。「キラキラ、ざわざわ、ハラハラ展」（横須賀美術館）にて制作し、館所蔵「春夏秋冬（小川芋銭）」と併せインスタレーションとして公開しました。
A pixel animation inspired by the landscape paintings of Usen Ogawa, a Japanese painter active from the Meiji to Taisho eras. Identifying an underlying aesthetic shared between traditional Japanese modes of expression—such as landscape painting, haiku, and dry landscape gardens, which strip away redundant information to evoke vivid scenes through negative space—and the inherently subtractive nature of pixel art, the work suggests a continuity with timeless Eastern perspectives and spatial philosophies. This endeavor connects to an ongoing effort to reconnect historical visual culture and spatial concepts with contemporary pixel art, as seen in A Shore A.M./P.M., which references the palette of Ukiyo-e and Shin-hanga prints, and Tatsuta Road Kamenose Picture Scroll, which incorporates the iconic bird's-eye mapping of Hatsusaburo Yoshida. Produced for the exhibition "Glimmering, Rustling, Fluttering" at the Yokosuka Museum of Art, it was presented as an installation alongside Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter by Usen Ogawa from the museum's collection.
